i know you are asking because of my resume. a lot of neocities sites get reposted on ""dark"" web boards, that basically look random. MUTED was a controlled experience and it had both a positive negative reception. i'm saying this because the two are different. some neocities sites are listed next to gun sales and unfortunate material, which sounds abnormal but it's all websites online. they just post them wherever. some aesthetics are more popular in this space and it's not mine. they don't have to be related but it was torture to fully learn the outerweb alongside everything while making this project. it's not terrifying as much as i realize people live to archive what they want to remember and share it with others rigorously.
